Have you been looking for a home theater system review that will help you take the guesswork out of choosing a system? If so, then this article is a good starting point. Before, listing the various recommended system brands, you need to be aware of a couple of facts. First off, considering the tremendous variety of systems out there, it is virtually impossible to review each and every one. Secondly, for the same reason as above, it is virtually impossible to actually listen to each and every one in their various configurations. This is especially so in light of the fact that everyone’s home is acoustically different. Therefore, there is no “one size fits all” system that will sound good in every home environment. The information for this home theater system review has been culled from various sources of data, including consumer comments, noted throughout the web. Your first decision is whether you want to buy an all-in-one system or if you intend to assemble yours from various system components. While the latter can result in an absolutely superb system, the former is the intended scope of this article. To assemble a mixed system, it is helpful to at least have an idea of the better quality all-inclusive units out there. Therefore, this home theater system review may provide you with a modicum of direction in achieving that end as well as help you target various manufacturers. The first systems listed are those from Samsung and are probably the best “deals” on the market. More Options Samsung’s system variety is rather limited which is both good and bad (as of this writing they have less than six inclusive systems that are currently being made). Generally speaking, they tend to score well in the home theater system review area of the web. That is due to good quality equipment and their efforts to compete with other top-notch systems. From a specifications point of view, Samsung’s units are competitive with virtually every quality system out there. So far, their higher end units exceed the 80 watts per channel threshold and will work nicely in most average sized living rooms. Audiovox offers a variety of units that have been the subject of several home theater system reviews. Since Audiovox tends to be a lower-priced unit, you will have to take special care to be sure that you are getting all of the needed sound options and wattage (DTS, Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic and strive for greater than 80 watts per channel). As noted in several recent home theater system reviews, Audiovox’s higher end units (they are still considerably less expensive than leading brands) can provide you with decent quality unit that, while not outstanding, is a good buy for your money. Before buying an Audiovox, or any other system, be sure that the system provides connectivity to your television and any other components you may have. Onkyo produces higher-end systems that are fairly competitive with the market quality leaders (Sony, Panasonic and Bose). One of the delightful advantages of most of Onkyo’s units that were included in a home theater system review was that even though they are fully featured systems, they are quite inexpensive! As noted above, be sure to review the specifications before deciding on one of their all-inclusive systems. You want to be sure that you have all of your bases covered. No home theater system review would be complete unless the system brands that virtually guarantee quality were mentioned. You are generally quite safe when buying Sony, Panasonic, Bose, Yamaha and JBL. If you have the money, they offer some excellent units. Even if you haven’t decided to try and find an additional home theater system review, it is recommended that you do. It is very difficult for any one home theater system review to meet everyone’s needs. This home theater system review is no exception. However, this review should at least get you started on your quest for your own system and help prevent you from getting burned.
